Well I get the fact that most companies copied or varied the designs from the original guitar shapes (Fender, Gibson). I understand that. But I mean, we're talking about contemporary guitars, it's like copying from the copy, see?

Alexi's reasons for jumping to ESP are well-documented. He truly loved Jackson guitars, and I think he may have stayed if they had taken care of his needs when his guitars were stolen. As far as shapes go, J/C got its start making strats. All of mine are strat or dinky-strat shapes. Should I dump them all & switch to Fender? Not gonna happen. Some of the most sought-after older Jacksons & Charvels are Firebirds, roundhorn Vs, and Explorers. I used to hate ESP for stealing Jackson designs, but now I think that's kind of hypocritical.

exactly...Alexi wanted more Jacksons but they wouldnt help him out and he needed guitars. i dont think it was about money. but it would be sweet if Alexi came back to Jackson and played the RR24s LOL

In September of 2002, Alexi's custom Jackson guitars (one of them bearing the famous "Wildchild" sticker, which was the guitar with which he appeared in all of the early Children of Bodom pictures) were stolen by an unidentified thief while he was asleep after a night partying with the other members of the band after a successful concert. Alexi needed new instruments, but Jackson had just been sold to the Fender Musical Instrument Company and wouldn't be able to build a custom guitar for Alexi for at least one year. ESP Guitars, however, told Alexi they could build a replacement in three months, and he signed with the company.

whats even better is if you use your guitar's case as a bed (with the guitar in it of course!) you know, put two cases side by side, throw a foam pad over it, grab a pillow and a blanket and youre good to go

Alexi did stash the guitars out of the way and behind some stuff, but a theif will stop at nothing if they really want something. i wonder if those guitars will ever turn up.

Alexi already stated that he would return to using Jackson if they do, so it's a very small chance that we ever get to see him play a Rhoads again.

I saw this last week on the ESP site. I'm a child of the 80s and love crazy colors/graphics (I was in H.S. when the Jems came out and LOVED them!) but this doesn't work for me. Now, if it was yellow bevels/inlays/logo, I'd be all over it. If it was green, it would pretty much be my CS idea I've had for a couple years (which will never happen now with the new prices):
