I *HAVE* heard that as well. I think by Charvel however, they meant the guy, not the company. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. The neck on those are comparable to SD J/C stuff in every way. I would go so far to say they feel as good.

Wayne Charvel made the necks and bodies for the Son of a Rich Bich guitars and basses, also the Nighthawk and Pheonix guitars and basses, these were YEARS before the official release of the Gunslinger at the 1988 NAMM show

Word is that all the above mentioned guitars are crap and should be avoided at all costs (Obviousley not including the Gunslinger in that list)

The Gunslinger was designed by Dan Lawrence and Glen Matezel

Taken from the 1988 B.C.Rich NAMM repot brochure

Hear ya. I had a nice flock of them for a while. Good luck finding nice ones these days. They're becoming pretty rare...

There was some old folklore that Tracii Guns had a bit part in it as well -- any truth to that? He was one of the first guys out there using them.

I'm not sure,Tracii says a lot of Sh**,but all I know is that Dan and Glen designed the guitar,so Tracii probably had nothing to do with the design, other than playing them-I don't know for sure though

I heard that. I looked on the 'bay. Not a single one of 'em. They did have one that was just the body, but it didn't have the slanted pup, which is awesome.
