Most of the guitars posted in this thread don't qualify for being called 'odd' in the first place.

I've always had a weird craving for the Chandler Austin Special....

Rickenbacker 331 "Light Show" - How can you not want a guitar with sound triggered lights?
Alvarez Dana Scoop - C'mon, these just look cool.
Gibson SG-90D - These are neat as they aren't a cookie cutter SG
BC Rich Ignitor - One of the coolest guitars I've ever seen.
Charvel Surfcaster - Probably one of my favorite looking Charvels. Very mellow looking and seems like it would be fun to play.

So yeah, there you have it
          +1 on those!

              Fun thread

Steinberger - both 6 string guitar and 5 string bass
Kramer Nightswan - I have no use for the weird pickup layout, and I'm not into 1-5/8" nuts, but this guitar is just cool
Gibson "Raw Power" Les Paul - I don't even like Les Pauls, but I like the stripped down aesthetic of this one
BC Rich Bich like the one Joe Perry had - I don't even know what those extra strings are for, but ever since seeing the picture of Joe with this strapped on his back from Double Live Bootleg, I've wanted one
Jackson Warrior in Snow White - I would look like an old fool playing this, but I still think it's cool
Jackson Rhoads V - These are very uncomfortable for me to play, but I still foolishly want one - especially the 24 fret, 1H version
Jackson King V - Same deal as the Rhoads
Tie Dye Soloist - The wild graphic would scare the parishioners at church, but I want one
Gibson Byrdland - I don't really need to own this, but I would like to just play one once

Oh good, other people feel drawn towards guitars they know they either wont or shoudn't like!!

                mine are:

BC Rich Gunslinger..I've played a couple of these years ago , hated the neck , don't like the single P/U, however everytime one comes up on e-bay I feel strangley drawn to it.(especially if it's snakeskin!!!)
ESP Lynch Kamakaze, I've never played an ESP that I've liked, but again I love the look of this guitar.
Charvel Model 2 : again can't justify the single P/U but want one (especially with a maple board).
Kramer Nightswan , same reason as quicksilver's as long as it has the lightning graphic.

I have a few strange ones I'd like to own.

Pink Hello Kitty Strat. I don't know, but busting this one out to play something like "Angel of Death" live would be hilarious.

I'll go with the Gibson Doubleneck also. I'll get to live out my Jimmy Page idol worship.

The last one I can't remember the name of. It was shaped like an old Chevy fender and had a tail-light that used to light up when you used the whammy bar. It's cheesy but I would love one.

Heh I like this thread, I've never been into Fenders or Les Pauls but I find myself oddly drawn to the John5 Tele and the Silverburst Les Paul.

Ofcourse the Pricetag on silverburst easily kills that GAS.

Anyone play the J5 Tele though? might be cool to have for mellower countryish stuff and Eric Johnson tunes. Kinda feels wrong trying to play EJ/Hendrix with my metal guitars, heheh

I love the Widow bass. I definitely prefer that over the regular guitar. Then again, I prefer most B.C. Rich shapes as basses over their guitars.
