  • Hello Kitty Pickup Upgrade?

OK I have to admit it, I bought one (and it's Pink) and I absolutely love the way it plays. The downside is I think the pup is very weak sounding. Has anyone else who's got one tried any other pups in theirs? I would like to find a decent white pup to put in it. Any suggestions?

I've been thinking about getting one of those!
Scoring pickups in any other colours than black or creme is always a pain in the ass for us impoverished Brits, but my plans were to try and find a white DiMarzio Tone Zone. I prefer those to just about anything else in Strats.

Almost looks more like a Mustang shaped body to me.

Looks like an 81.. looks killer, that's the pup I'd want too if I ever decide to pick up a Kittie guitar..

I got a pink one too (I mean my daughter has one )
Stock pickup is actually better than I expected. Had a little too light strings on it from the factory for my taste.

Been thinking that a P-94 or invader would be nice to try. I seem to remember the invader being flabby and scooped, can't remember now.

Other options were super distortion or '59.

I am beginning to think that the Duncan custom is a little "flat" in the EQ for me - anyone else think that? I have one in a couple strat types and I have mixed feelings, though they take an EQ well and are very clear sounding.

Kinda thinking I want it to be splittable or twangy for some reason.

flat with slight boosted mids. I've tried mine in a couple guitars.. didn't really care for it that much.
I put my Dimarzio SD & SD custom back in.

A white Invader would be perfect. Rip up some Dio tunes with it...Holy Diver LOL!

it looks long to me as well, although no one ever answered what type of route was under that cat's face.

Cheers Snoogans, white Tone Zone on it's way. If that don't do the trick then I know where I can get a white EMG 81.
