Could you seriously run it without the pickguard, in a true 80's pink fashion?
I have a nephew that I got interested in the old 80's stuff, and I would gladly buy him one of these ( he has a regular strat with three singles), if it would look decent without the guard.

I nearly left the pick guard off but it wouldn't get the same reaction without it
I ended up putting a white Duncan Custom in my HK strat. That pickup has some freaking balls. It sounds great in there. And yes, the route is for a single hum under the pickguard.
