Thursday, I got my Carvin Bolt Plus. Clear-coated swamp ash body, two humbuckers, a Floyd, 14-inch radius, 6100 fret wire and straplocks.
The body reminds me of the Charvel Model 4 shape, with the contemporary series tremolo route. The neck also meets the mody a lot like a Model 4. The volume knobs are also moved down and away from the pickups compared to my Charvels.
Since I had a show last night, I went ahead and used it. It felt very familiar. It was a bit tough to tell exactly how it sounded because the acoustics on the stage were terrible. I'll know a bit more when I have it at the rehearsal space for a solid night of testing. But feel-wise, I really liked it. The tongue oil finish on the back of the neck is very nice.
And I know someone's gonna say "This thread is worthless without pictures." So here ya go!
