Anyone check out the PRS SE Singlecuts?

Haven`t seen these in person yet but they look really sweet. Anyone test drive or have one?

I`m definitely picking one up at some point,just like to try one out first but i`m sure i`ll really like it! I had an PRS SE Custom before and it was a great quality guitar!

I own a Tremonti SE ...
She's not much to look at, but after swapping out the pickups and giving the setup a "tweak", it feels, plays, and sounds just as good (if not better) than any guitar I own.




The only thing I really didn't care for was the "Tremonti" logo on the headstock, so last weekend I decided to re-do it using a vinyl headstock restoration logo. I sanded off the Tremonti logo, re-painted the headstock, applied the logo, clearcoated, wetsanded, and buffed it out.

I think the Singlecut SE's look beuatiful, but what I'd really like to see them put out is a "Singlecut Trem SE".
If that day ever comes ... I'm all over it!

The Singlecut SE's make me sick since after playing one I was left trying to figure out why the hell I paid so much for a regular PRS Singlecut. They Singlecut SE's are great for the price.

Are the singlecuts flat or archtop? If they are archtop I'll be gasing for a blue or red one.

My Tremonti SE is an archtop.
It's not a very "pronounced" archtop, but it's definately not a flat-top.
I'm guessing the Singlecut SE's are similar.

The only thing that annoyed me about the Tremonti guitar I had for a while was the bridge didn't let you do any intonation adjustments. It played very nicely though and I much prefered it to the Epi LP I had lying around.

That is absolutely killer bro!!!!! Excellent job on the headstock also!!! I would love to do the same thing but i`m not much of an (artist!). Is there a poor man`s way of doing what you did to the headstock like using a piece of black vinyl to cover the headstock then finding a Paul Reed Smith logo somewhere??

You do know the first run Tremonti SE's are bringing really good money right now.If its a keeper the logo looks good but if you unlaod it you just lost several hunderd $

Hell, I only paid $399 for the guitar new!
Seriously ... what makes the first run models worth more?

To answer the question though ... I'm definately keeping it.
If there was any thought of maybe oneday selling it, I would have just left the logo as is.

I've got PRS "investment" guitars ...
I don't consider this one of them.

I don't have the Singlecut SE, but I just picked up a Santana SE and it freaking rocks. I already own 4 PRS (2 Customs and 2 CE) and this guitar can definately hold it own. It's sounds great with my triple rec.

To think I only bought it cuz it was at a pawn shop reduced to $160. I always frowned upon the SE line but no more. I'm a believer now. I listed it on ebay but if I don't get a bid soon I may just keep.
