  • Never thought I'd buy a Wayne...

...but I was wrong! I loved this guitar when I first saw it (ebay?) and then again when I saw it for sale. The guitar arrived 3 days after my CS Charvel and on the same day as the turtles soloist and I deliberately held off playing it too much as I wanted to have time to enjoy all the guitars individually. Now I've had some time and it plays great - it has a nice, full neck which is slightly bigger than my GMWs, but nothing like as chunky as a PC1.

It's an interesting comparison playing the Charvel next to the Wayne, as theroretically at least, they're pretty damn similar (bolt on maple neck, single hum, non recessed floyd), but I'll get into the comparison more at a later date.... I know some folks don't like the headstock, but I genuinely think it's OK - yeah, it's not a strathead, but it's better than some of the mutants out there!

If it plays as well as it looks, who cares about the headstock? That is a fine looking guitar.
I am a true ass set to this board.

Thanks guys - I really like it! With regards to the questions, yes, it's a quilted top, and the pickup is aparently a Duncan 78 EVH... sounds great, so I don't care what it is!

very nice acquisition. while it's not the strat headstock, the name on it signifies that it did indeed come from the man (and not fender)
