  • I know...worthless without pics...but

I will soon! Just snagged an Ibanez USA Custom in gold script on
the headstock, string thru... real DiMarzios (2) and a wizard neck
with cool Faux Ice blue quilt top, for $400.00 !!
Has some features ive never seen before.
A Brass bow' embedded in the neck, behind the nut at the first
fret supposedly tied to the truss rod for more sustain?
Then it has a small hole up near the 17 th fret to adjust the
truss rod? It was in 98% condition with only one small dimple
on the top. If not for this one blem... dead mint! I was told
that this originally sold for more than $1300.00? If you have
any info on these "USA Customs" from Ibanez, please pipe in?
Beautiful "Rosewood" fretboard with lots of grain and color.
    Did i get a deal?

Sounds like you have a USRG10 in Trasparent Blue. It has the "Tension Free" truss rod system. Be carefull with that. I've never owned one but I hear they can be a bit tricky. DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge and a PAF Pro in the neck. List was $1299. I'd say you got a good deal...
    I'm angry because you're stupid

The hole on the 17th fret is NOT a trus rod adjustment thing, it is the anchor/pivot pin for the tension free neck. DON'T play with that. The adjustment is via a hole where the neck bolts on, you'll see an allen screw inside the hole:

The adjustment is easier than a normal trus rod, tune the guitar to pitch, insert the allen wrench in the hole at "No 5 or D" per the above and rotate. Look at the distance between the strings and the upper frets while you turn clockwise and you'll see the strings and neck move closer together. Adjust per your action height preference and you're done.
