I wasn't crazy about these. They are blah sounding IMHO. But you should try one and see what you think, I just wasn't impressed by them. Made pretty well though and they look cool. I'm sure some better pickups would help.

I have one of the Explorers. Loaded a set of EMG's and it's my number 2 player. Mine was made in Korea in 2002. They say the newer ones from China are actually better built.

YES. New pups and it would be awesome. Something hot like EMGs or DiMarzios.
