by far, be it Gibson or jackson, Firebirds have always been very heavy to me, and when they are top heavy they are a headache but they are so fukkin' cool.

I recall a small article in Guitar World or GFTPM (circa 1993) about a dude who had lightning-shaped home built bass. It had maple neck-thru and EBONY wings. I can't imagine how much it weighted.Because I don't say it

Although likely not the heaviest I had was an early 80s Ibanez Artist in creme, much like the 1st pic in this thread. It felt like a stone on my shoulder. I would have kept it but it didn't balance well on my leg while sitting down, so I had to play it standing up which led me to sell it."Your work is ingenius…it’s quality work….and there are simply too many notes…that’s all, just cut a few, and it’ll be perfect."
