by far, be it Gibson or jackson, Firebirds have always been very heavy to me, and when they are top heavy they are a headache but they are so fukkin' cool.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

"slappy, slappy" bill sings, happily, as he dick slaps random people on the streets of Cleveland.

Yeah that ke-3 (96 btw) is one of the heaviest I've played also. And my kelly weighs nearly the same

I recall a small article in Guitar World or GFTPM (circa 1993) about a dude who had lightning-shaped home built bass. It had maple neck-thru and EBONY wings. I can't imagine how much it weighted.
                Because I don't say it
                Doesn't mean I ain't thinking it

A good friend of mine has a 1976 Strat that falls into this category. It's the heaviest and worse sounding Fender Strat on the planet. Needless to say, he fucking loves it! :ROTF:

I played an acrylic BC Rich Warlock awhile back that had to weigh over 15 pounds. I would say my Washburn Dime 2ST weighs around 12 pounds as well.

Although likely not the heaviest I had was an early 80s Ibanez Artist in creme, much like the 1st pic in this thread. It felt like a stone on my shoulder. I would have kept it but it didn't balance well on my leg while sitting down, so I had to play it standing up which led me to sell it.

I just weighed my 57 LP Custom. It tipped the scales at 11 lbs. The EDS-1275 weighed in at 12 lbs. I can't fathom strapping on guitars that weigh in the 17 lb. range.
