Hetfield plays one

Ken worked for Moonstone. Ken Lawrence basses have been well known around the world as the best bass guitars in the bass community.

He had plenty of work doing just basses and now the Hetfield thing has his shop backlogged with explorers, he has stated he prefers to build basses but the quality of his guitars speak for themselves I have never seen any custom shop guitars come close to his work and I own plenty.

Ah, okay. I've never even heard of this guy. Does anyone have any detail pics of one guitar? Now I'm curious.

They are spectacular looking. But unless they sounded 5 times better than any other guitar out there I would not consider spending that kind of money.

Conklin guitars are really rediculously priced also.

Yes I have the first Ken Lawrence explorer ever made from a single piece of Mahogony.


Exact Hetfield specs including red fiber optic fret markers/Chechen top/black mother of pearl inlays and I stole it at only a little over 3000 dollars got it from Sean from the ESP boards.

Except for the headstock of course.

The headstock is cut off in the pic Its the exact same Headstock as Hetfields.

It is? Couldn't see it in the pics, looks like you're right. He must have been pissed or did he lift the self-imposed embargo on this unique headstock design?

Its the inlays he embargos you can have similar not exact.
