J Gustaffson is what I would buy, USED of course since they go for $12k new.

You want to find a listing of 8k guitars? Here ya go:

        5 custom GMW's
        -silver/black/red hot-rod flames
        -traditional strat in Daphne Blue
        -3 EVH replicas (BW/BY/BWR)

There would be no need to go home again

        LOL

I'm going to go for my standard answer of Hookers and Blow.
But if it has to be a guitar, probably a cherrypicked Gibson r60, or an Elliot Easton SG in Pelham Blue.

I just spent 10 minutes cleaning Pepsi off my screen and keyboard.

Hence, the addition to my sig line.

            Very funny Flatpicker

5 pages later, I still can't see why anyone would waste $8000 on a non-J/C

Perhaps a picture will be worth a thousand words?

                      But not $8000

                      Nice, but not 8-grand-nice IMO.

                      To each his own.

                            I'd get 5 or 6, not one.

Oh, it can be much better than any Jackson! (although this may be
$12K?) And the back is just like the front.. everything is quilt !!

                              • I'd probably get an old gibson but if it had to be a new guitar I'd get a Ramirez. Of course if you had said under $120,000 I could get this: http://elderly.com/vintage/names/gib...-30U-14093.htm
