Done Deal - New Swirled Jem on the way..

Scheduled for delivery on Tuesday....



It's a custom jem body (not Ibanez) with an excellent DNA swirl and an RG3120 Prestige neck with the offset abalone dot markers.


Frankly, I bought it because it's one of the best swirls I've ever seen. If you've been to the Ibanez thread on this site you'll see I've had some great Vai guitars - but this one is amazing. I'm like a fuggin kid waiting for Christmas!

I remember drooling over that green swirl Jem in the 1992 Ibanez Catalog.


But allas, I never could afford to buy one in those days (A highschool kid buying a Jem? No fucking way) and currently those are still rising in value so I probably won't get one now either...

I really wanted to move to all Fenders.....but the damn things are so limited in what they can offer the player.....I LOVE Strats, but I dive-bomb all the time, I use pinch harmonics all the time, and those single coils are kinda thin-sounding....I run through double-full Marshall stacks and with the type of music we're playing the Jem is perfect- remember, a Jem is the original 'Super-Strat' anyway

I know what your saying. Ibanez are great guitars for that type of thing. I've tried to go more traditional at times as well, only to find myself returning to those type of guitars...
