Great collection by the way! Very cool.
    Thanks for the comments everyone!

AFAIK, the "Still of the Night" guitar is now owned by the Hard Rock Cafe, although I've never seen anything to verify that. I have also heard that Vivian still owns it, but once again that's just hearsay. I do know that I would LOVE to grab that one someday...its one of the coolest ones that I've ever seen. Vivian added a humbucker to the neck position after the video. You can see a pic of the modded version on the cover of GFTPM sometime in late '87.

Rand Havener now lives somewhere in SoCal and works for his sister's real estate agency. Every once in awhile, he stops by Pat Wilkins' shop to paint a guitar, but he is not building again. He is a very eccentric guy from what I've heard and he doesn't do anything for very long.
Tom Anderson told me that Rand's guitar company was very succesful and beginning to take off when Rand got bored and quit to do something else.

Interesting. I remember when the rumor started that he had passed away. Could you shoot me some more info regarding cities or business names; maybe I can get Rand to paint a logo on my Rand V!

Yeah. I thought he had passed away until just reading this. That is good news.

                      Nice guitars Joel!

There's a store down here in SOUTH FLORIDA that has some of the nicest guitars in the world including three RAND guitars.

Rand was in a bad motorcycle accident several years back and was rumoured to have died. That fact that he still shows up to paint guitars at Pat Wilkins shop disproves the rumours IMO

The three guitars in South Florida were all once owned by a friend of mine (who used to own my Vivian Campbell guitar as well). The pink one was used in a Diet Pepsi commercial with Jerry Hall. The yellow one was at Sam Ash when I bought my purple one...it was down to those two as they sounded a bit ballsier than the others (purple is my favorite color so it made the choice a little easier). It's a great guitar. The red one is almost identical the one Joel posted up above, but its hands down the worst player of the three (although still a kick ass guitar). I don't know the current owner but I plan on trying to contact him at some point. If anyone has contact info, I'd appreciate it!

Ron...I'll see what I can find out and let you know. I think I have some more specific info buried in some old emails somewhere. I'm glad you kept the V...its cool knowing that its staying in good hands!
