I know some of you guy's have one of these. I know, I've been reading the reviews since they came out in Jan. '05. I've been saving my pennies from my paper rout and finally saved up enough to get one. The reviews of this guitar are true. This is the Strat to have if you want Custom Shop quality, and a lower price and are putting your trusty Charvel or Jackson back in the rack to pick up a Strat. The neck makes this transition a piece of cake with it's 12" fretboard radius and full soft v backshape neck transitioning into the more rounded C down at the 12th fret. This one weighs in at 7.6 lbs. I think this is average for their reported weight. Mine has some interesting mineral streaks on the front of the Alder body. It's not your average looking transparent sunburst finish on the Alder. It's the first "figured" Alder I've ever seen. Some might not like it, but it's rare from what I have seen and it has been growing on me. Like most of the guitars I buy, I got this one sight inseen.
This guitar just sings, very resonant and very vocal. The EJ pickups are great and low output like the old ones. One great mod EJ did on these is each pickup has a tone adjustment. I don't really use the tone on my other guitars, but it's really useful on a Strat with single coils. You can dial in some really nice tones with the knobs!

The G & G Case is Really Nice as well!
