I like the style of the new Laiho model a lot more than the older/japanese one (which just looks like another RR ripoff). The new one puts a another spin on the aggressive "offside V" look.

Pebber, give me a fucking break.
I played a guitar that felt really good and gave me a lot of ideas and as soon as I make a report on this everybody starts bitching on me to drop the idea of getting the Laiho and go for a Rhoads. Even going as far to saying that I'll be getting a guitar with "A name like a gay porn actor." So I decided to be sportive and tell why I won't get a Rhoads and like it or not the word "randy" when looked up in the dictionairy means filthy, so I turned the joke over on the person who made the gay porn actor remark.
I DO respect what Rhoads was doing, I AM aware of his legacy and why can't I make fun about him? Heck Ozzy called Rhoads a "Filthy little motherfucker." in several interviews.
The Bottom line is that I really liked that white Laiho, why is everybody so pissy about it?

You should buy whatever guitar feels & plays best to you. The shape of the neck is critical for me, and for a lot of people. Sometimes I'm jealous of guys who say they can get along with just about anything, because they have so many more options. I happen to love J/C stuff, and it fits me like a perfectly broken in glove, but I totally can see how some other shape will feel better to someone else. If the Laiho felt right, grab it & good luck with it!Comment

It's cool you dig the LTD man, rock on! It's a cool copy, I like the look of the RR24 better or the Bonds. With green or yellow bevels on black for me. Being a Jackson board we can get defensive about the copies out there. I don't have a USA Jackson right now but I've owned many (7) and I would think you could find a RR1 in the US for 9-1100 USD used. There's beena few jackson apperciation threads over there I remember a lot of people like them you get the occasional troll or wnaker ust spouting jackson is crap because they played one crappy js30 or one bad guitar, but theres probably more jackson love over there than esp love here...
I remember playing an M-II which had a really ncie beefy rounded neck, but it had no soul or feel it was very errrr....
Still I dont think the alexis are bad not perticularly fussed on the paint scheme where the yellow or black pinstripes are but hey whatever...
I think it's more important that you liked the neck, more than the brand or if its original, I find it funny that most of those pink jacksons are copies of another body style two of them were strats....
what can you do....

As far as I see it you stated your opinion on the Laiho LTD in your post and I stated my opinion about it in my post. I neither told you to get a Rhoads instead nor did I get pissy. I just commented on my opinion about the value of the LTD compared to my Rhoads, and that's after comparing both of them.
