Yep, they are awesome guitars and real bargains! Great score Fett! BTW that painted neck is mahogany, or maybe nato. They painted them just because the darker wood looked odd on a superstrat type guitar. The higher model RGXs (2xx and higher) have maple necks with rosewood or bubinga fingerboards.

i had a painted neck rgx211 for my first good guitar. i am STILL on the lookout for one......i found one with a maple neck, i bought it, but it isn't as good as the one with the painted neck (which was actually a mahogany neck).....great score, fett!!!
        GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

        and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

That Taiwan factory is actually theirs and not a "supplier", which is a BIG positive. Yamaha has been building most of their guitars there for many years now. Yamaha guitars are very high quality and playable, just sometimes a little short in the "looks" department...............

Yes. It weighs less than 7 pounds and it's well made.

I'm playing my Gibby Epi 88 right now. That was $30. That really is a great guitar.
