  • Guitars with stainless steel frets

I've decided whatever my next guitar is it must have stainless frets. Are there any options besides Carvin and Parker not counting custom things that take longer than ~2 months?

I'm leaning toward a Carvin DC or CT at this point depending on what neck pickup tone I want (24 vs 22 frets)

I believe Suhr uses them also. I am not 100% though.

Warmoth offers them on their necks, but you can't go wrong with a Carvin.

Damn I just looked up McNaught - looks out of my league on pricing. I don't care about fancy tops and finishes it's going to be played not hung on the wall.

It's looking like a Carvin or used Parker

Smoother, bends are easier and they last alot longer.
Their just a better fret altogether.
Its one of those things that you have to actually try before believing it.
I was skeptical myself and doubted the whole way.
Once you do, your stainless from then on.
I'll never go back to nonstainless frets.

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

I'm quite hard on frets and create lots of ware quite quickly, stainless steel frets might be the answer to my problem.

Yeah I don't need to be sold on the frets, just trying to decide what guitar to put them on! I played a Parker Fly with them once and have wanted them ever since

My Carvin 7 has got them, and now I wish my Sl2H and my GMW's all had them too.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

I would get a Warmoth. They do fantastic work.

Warmoth makes nice necks. Here is one I built for a customer with stainless steel frets and of course a Mojo Body.

Is there anyone out there that will do a refret using SS?
