My Carvin is all Mahogany with a quilted maple top , so it's a bit heavier than my SL2H, but it's not as
heavy as the last GMW I had made for me (the one with the cocobolo fret board)
Lee Garver gets some seriously dense mahogany, that thing ways a ton.
the Carvin is not bad it's a little heavier than my soloist but not enough
    for me to really notice.
(Plus I'm 6 foot 215 pounds guitar weight has never been an issue for me. :ROTF: )

I remember Robert Burns telling that a carvin he got recently weighed a lot. Are carvin guitars heavier than their similar spec'd Jackson counterparts?
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Here's my Bolt Plus, 14-inch radius, Floyd, clear-coated swamp ash. Sounds great, plays great. I like it better than my Model 4 or my 375 DLX. I still want a different set of pickups, though.

I found a few on the bay, and fewer on craigs list. most seem to go for under 700. but the ones that catch my eye are alwasy 1000 + aw fuck. Any one want to trade a my trans blue sl2h orf for a string through chrome h/w quilted or exotic carvin. Just throwing that out there before I bit the bullet. And spend to much.

What's your address? I can part with the pair I'm wearing right now, and FedEx is still scheduled to make a pickup.

              (ha, ha!)

But seriously, thanks very much. I like it an awful lot, too!
