You can get the Japanese market version with the more correct RR shape and Made in Japan for the same price. The only difference is the headstock says "EDWARDS" instead of "ESP"

The American market LTD has the weirder looking longer lower horn and is made in Korea for the same price as this Japanese one is all I was pointing out. No need to go over the fact that tons of people on this forum hate Alexi for being famous and accepting paid endorsements.

I've heard Alexi say in interviews that they had to elongate the lower wing to sell it outside Japan, for fear of being sued by Jackson.

The order of brands in Japan is: ESP, Navigator, Edwards, Grassroots and then LTD.
In Japan there are no copyright/trademark issues for most of the best known guitar shapes. All guitars with "LP" in the designation are Les Pauls. You'll never guess what TE, ST, SG, FV, EX, etc. stand for! They do make original guitars too, but a few people here have Edwards Les Pauls. It may be gaudy, but I like the original E-CY-165CTM (the number in a name usually designates list price in 1000s of Yen):

thetroy: Now THAT is what Jackson needs to do in a Soloist limited run.
The backs of them are cool too:
They look even better in non-manufacturer photos. Here are some pics, but they're seriously large images so I'll just give links:
