The Floyd is presumably for bending open strings and just general tuning stability.
I really like the sustainer idea. This thread is encouraging me to make a "good" fretless now which is not so good!
Think I could get by playing in a metal band without frets?

I don't see a lock nut in the pics. Did you have to make a new nut to keep the action lower?
I'm thinking of making a squire 51 I have hanging around here fretless. Any info would be helpful.Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day, set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.
