Would your uncle be upset if he thought he was giving you a good deal and you turned it around right away for profit?

Nah, I told him I might sell it for a profit when I bought it. He was ok with it. I haven't decided I'm gonna sell it yet anyway. The wind is swinging in the other direction right now.

Ofcourse that seller is asking waaay too much for it.. but some people on ebay are just too "high".. heh
Cool. I guess the book with the 1981 section was wrong. They had a small pic of an '81 catalog, too. They made it seem as that was the only year they ran those. Either way, cool guitars!
And, yeah, that guy is smoking something to be looking for that price.

That guitar will be worth a lot of $$$ someday. Keep it! No one ever thought that the Fender's and Gibson's from the seventies would be worth money someday and now look at what they are going for. Ten more years and you'll have a real collector's piece.

I always liked those particular ones after I saw one like that in a book that was orange and thought it was too cool. Keep it!

I'd certainly hang on to her. A clean stock Strat like that will only increase in value, and they are a lot less common in your part of the world than in the US. Who knows, you may even grow to love it!

I like it. Reminds me of the old Chandler ads in the guitar mags back in the 90s. Only thing I don't like is the 3-bolt neckplate.
Does that affect neck stability in any way? I'm curious. Never seen a 3 bolter before.

I like strats and the larger Fender headstocks but I can't stand the color yellow...sell it or paint it

Keep it, do NOT paint it. That guitar is probably better than money in the bank. Hold onto it for a while longer and it'll gain some good value.

If I had known how much my 81 V would be worth today, I would have bought 10 of them back then.

I never thought I'd say this about a strat, but I'm loving it. It's been giving me a new riff everytime I pick it up, along with a strange urge to play little wing and/or sweet home alabama :ROTF:

                          It's a keeper.

Keep that bitch and learn some Blackmore riffs.

Keep it and take care of it (but DO take it out for 'exercising' regularly!), that is a clean looking strat! Color is definately noticable, but I think the shade of yellow looks real clean on that.

I am not a strat man, but I would be glad own that one. Nice!
