Anybody ever played one? I know they are built by Wayne Charvel, and they look AWESOME.
I am considering having one built for me.
1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom
Jackson SLATQH
Jackson DK2M Inferno Red
Jackson DK2M With a Learn Custom Paint Job
Jackson DKMGT (project)
Kramer Focus 1000
Ibanez SDGR Bass
Ovation Celebrity
Martin Backpacker
They are great guitars..but Wayne Charvel had changed the neck profile on them and people have not been happy with the switch...anyway...check out the search function on this forum as I know these guitars have been discussed at length...
I honestly dont know if he's "making" them anymore, or if its out sourced parts. They vary alot in quality even the older ones. When i bought mine i played everyone guitarasylum had before pickin what i thought was the best one. 1 yr later it was back at waynes shop for fret work....go figure. NO thanks to guitar asylum either, they were absolutely NO HELP,when the guitar had issues. BUY an old C/J, or even a gunslinger. Waynes IMHO are too hit or miss. there's a reason why he doesnt have dealers anymore, too many issues. from what i was told they didnt want to deal with Wayne BS & shitty guitars.
The day of an actual Handmade guitar is way over. Do you think that Wayne put his hands on this? I think not. It's all about cookie cutter parts that may have had the "Hands" on it to make it "Real". It's all BS.

That's not necessarily true. Neal Moser still actually builds handmade guitars that are not built from outsourced parts...I've bought wood for a guitar that's waiting in his shop to be cut, shaped and built by him. Ron Thorn also builds his stuff from scratch. There are other builders out there still doing it from the ground up...check out the Gear Page for some of them.
*Edited to add...sorry, I may have misunderstood the message. If it applied only to Wayne Guitars, then my apologies. If you were referring to the industry in general, that's what my comment referred to.
