Hey it didn't get sanded off so it might be a good veneer. I wouldn't sand it any further though.

I just got it. It has a 2 1/4" neck pocket. The body doesn't need paint help. It looks like a nimbus cloudy sky. I did good. It feels like an old C/J basswood bod.
