The guitar actually has a sandwhich body with two Oak floor panels (Which I guess were sawed out differently from the pieces of wood you're using.) for the top and a pine back.
The side of the guitar showing the sandwhich construction, it also shows how low the neck is set in, the pickups are nearly flush with the pickguard.
The back of the guitar. Showing that it used to be a bolt on neck solid but not anymore. I re-routed the neck pocket (the neck shifted like crazy) and glued that sucker in, the single bolt is there to keep the neck in place when I was clamping it.
It currently has an Ibanez V8 Pickup at the bridge and a Dimarzio PAF pro at the neck, the miniswitch is the coil tap for the Ibanez V8.
The neck came from a Squier telecaster which has so bad that I trashed it but I really liked the neck so I saved that and put it on this guitar. It also has a swimmingpool rout under the pickguard which not only enables me to experiment with pickups but it also adds sparkle to the sound.
Here's how the guitar looked when I made it back in 2002
Back then it had a Dimarzio DLX soap bar at the bridge and a Dimarzio PAF classic at the neck.
As for how it sounds, here I am using it for the distorted lines in this tune I wrote and played.
