Quality wise they are the same as the 7620. The trem is different, Lo-Pro on the 7620, Edge Pro on the 1527. I don't have alot of expierence with the Edge Pro, I'm an Original Edge fan so my thoughts are if it isn't broke, don't fix it. But I've heard good things about the Edge Pro, except the lack of locking studs. I think $600 sounds like a decent price...
    I'm angry because you're stupid

I had one last year, sold it because of the hardware it had (it was the 1st gen with the "powder cosmo" powder coated hardware) which became all stained and freckled in less than a month of playing.

I believe the 2nd gen (with the small dots) have "cosmo black" which apparently is better.

But, besides that, it was okay, I mean, I changed the pups and got duncan Invaders in it, big improvement, although the sound was still somehow "muffled", apparently it was because of the basswood body. No problems with the trem, I didn't use floating trems back then (now I "rule the floyd" ) but it's a nice guitar.

I've had one in my line up for about 4-5 months now and I'm really liking it. Used it on some sessions last night.. about the same as my 7620 with a different trem.. the neck actually feels a shade better on the 1527 although I can't really put my finger on why.. running stocks in it right now..but as soon as a goodie bag gets here from Steve B., it'll have an Evo7 bridge and a Norton 7 neck in it. Just my personal preference.
