  • Finally got this bich together

Still needs some setup. Sounds nice. Great harmonics. Sings,
just like it did before. Note the brass block under the bridge.
It's solid brass, 1 inch thick. Dimarzio '59 PAF bridge,
Kustom ST p/u neck. Checks at 7 ohms, sounds good.
Coil taps, plus phase reversal on bridge. Has an LP feel.

I'll be the first to say (ok others have said it too). it isn't the best looking.
The open grain look of the oak is hard to get past.

      But...
I did the setup, intonation, neck set, just one high fret, and hooked it
up. Played some warmups, then got down on it.

Holy....it's like that tele the other guy keeps talking about, it is unforgiving!
But what a voice! The harmonics are everywhere....pinch, touch, and the
switches work just right. If I want it to back off, just flip the coil tap, and
she's...quiet. Like the Jackson. Flip it over, and it's like a snarly (no feedback or buzz) LP through a marshall. Flip phase, it's a surf strat.
      Sweet.

Yup, I'm relearning my stuff, and it's all coming back. Sustain? You're
joking. Hit it, go take a piss, and it's still there. Damn....Ugly, but it does what I had in mind.
