Those old peaveys are great guitars I can't understand why the resale is so low. I love my patriot.

I played a Wolf Gang and it was a nice playing guitar but I'm not much for Peaveys I like this one because it looks like a strat,

You got a nice guitar for a good price I hope you like it,

Keep Staring I'll Do A TRICK,

Well i didn`t get this one yet but i`ve had other USA Peaveys and as far as quality goes, better then the MIM Fenders and on par with USA Fenders! I`m betting on this Predator Strat to be as good as a USA Fender.

Very nice! Definitely an old school vibe to that one.

I dunno. I had an old usa made predator. It looked good on paper but wasnt such a great player. The pickups were cheap and microphonic. The gloss of the finish on the fretboard made it feel sticky all the time. Both the high and low E strings seemed to fall off the fretboard all the time. I sold it for $89 on ebay. Oh, and it had those cheap stamped steel tuners that sucked too. Every mexi-strat that Ive ever owned blew this thing away. YMMV though. Maybe I got a bad one.

You probably just got a bad one, that happens! In my experience all the USA Peaveys that i`ve had blow all the MIM Fenders away and even some of the MIA`s as well! The USA Peavey Predators have a 3 piece body like the USA Fenders. The MIM Fenders have anywhere from 5-7 and sometimes more pieces.....you can`t change that, but if the Peaveys hardware and electronics aren`t up to par, that`s an easy fix!!

I got my USA Peavey last week but i`ve been pretty busy so i havn`t gotten to much online time. All i can say without getting too involved with a long post is this Strat`s build quality and playability is as good if not better then any USA Fender Strat that i`ve ever had! I`ve never owned a custom shop Strat but i`ve played some in music stores and this Peaveys playability is on par with those!!! Sweet neck also that`s a little beefier feeling then a standard USA Fender. The only thing about the Peavey that is slightly lacking is the pups, but their very good in their own right and i plan on changing them anyway. Overall a fantastic Strat!!!

I have two peavey's, both of which are cool, one of which I'll never part with.

***sorry for the crappy picture quality***

                              USA Predator DX:

Import Raptor (w/graphtech saddles, set up by Martin @ Chrisguitars):

                              DCAM0006.jpg

The two pickups at the bridge on the DX are unique, with coil split/phasing/humbucking options, and when used in combo with the middle pickup offer some very unique tones.

The Raptor is just a great kick-around guitar that sounds more strat-like than any strat I've owned in the past... I never part with it.

These Peavey's can be hit or miss... I've owned a few (since you can get them so cheap) and have ended up keeping these two out of maybe 5.

The rest I've given to friends who've expressed an interest in learning to play... and they love them.

"Wow,... that was some of the hardest rockin ever. Hardest to listen too."
