I saw over in Guitar Player TV, Gibson is working on a Alex Lifeson Signature Model per Alex himself. An ES-355 in White Yum, I'm there!
I wonder when they will be available?

I noticed that while he as playing both Gibsons and PRS guitars when I saw Rush in Atlanta, in pics of later shows he was playing Gibsons only! He sure deserves a sig model and the 355 is an awesome guitar!
Yeah, I think the ES-355 he has used for years, he bought in 1977. It's got the gold tailpiece. It should be nice, but as all signatures, it will carry a hefty price tag!

It...Will...Happen...and I will have it. I would think that it will be stupid expensive, remember the Sykes sig LP Custom? Whatever, I will find a way. It is supposed to be an "inspired by" sig is what I read somewhere. Alex has even been qouted as saying it is in the works. And yes, his 355 is indeed a 1977 model.

I hear ya. But at least it's an artist worthy of a signature model. I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw the Tom DeLong signature model.
oh of course, and I love Lifeson, always have, but in real terms this doesn't mean shit to me other than another unattainable overpriced guitar to ogle.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
The ES-355 Limited Edition recent issue was going for $3,600 to $3,700 from what I saw, so this one maybe more or less depending on how they will market this one. The BB King 355 had or still has a reasonable price.

I wonder if it will have the ultra thin neck width like those old '70s ES-355s did? I love those necks. Of course, I'd probably just buy a real '70s 355 if that's what I wanted.
