Looks great! I'd love to do something like that, but don't have an LPC handy. Would anyone like to lend me one?
I feel festive all year round. Deal with it.

Yeah, Chasbo beat me to it! I didn't go for the brass nut. I'm using the Graphtech. I believe at the time (70's), the brass nut and saddles was the thing. Tests show the Graphtech to sustain better than brass. I like the sustain of the Graphtech and the ease of use. I have the Graphtech saddles as well. I have the nuts and saddles on quite a few of my guitars.

Do you notice any difference in tone when going from the stock tailpiece to the TonePros? I'm just curious how the TionePro stuff is as that is what came on my umport Mockingbird

I do like the Sykes model and was eyeballing the Edwards version for a while, still debating that or a mock with a Floyd
Yeah, I hear ya on the Black and Gold. I needed a change. The guitar stayed the same for 25 years.

With the Tone Pros locking hardware there is a slight increase in sustain due to the coupling method. More so is the ease of re-stringing without the tail piece sliding off the table.

if you want more authenticity, disconnect the bridge pickup from its tone control. it will add that Sykes fire to your sound.

I did! I mentioned it in the specs.

The guitar feels and sounds Badass too. It's like I bought a new guitar! I don't know why but it does!

Very nice ! It seems that Burny or another Japanese brand is making John Sykes replicas as well.

                            Burny used to, Edwards DOES.

                            I might buy one eventually
