KV's rear, inverted curve-like KE front. Interesting. A little reminscent of Ibanez's answer to Jackson's Warrior.

      New Pics!!!

Well about 5 weeks now and finally, something to show! Here are a few pics of the guitar in it's current state. Body was just cut on Thursday (when neck had settled into the wood for the body long enough), and he also was able to do white binding on the neck and black on the headstock. I have not seen this done before but I am sure it has been. It's going to look great seeing as I went with white with black bevels. Some people suggested beveling the headstock, however I chose the alternate binding. Hope you all like it. I also de-bulked the body a bit, brought the bottom curve up towards the pick-ups as suggested by some members on this board and tweaked the horn to be less like a kelly and more like a mockingbird. The frets and inlay go inon Moday & Tuesday, then off to paint. He is sending more pics after the frets and inlays are done. I'll post them as soon as I get them. Thanks for all your input guys, it has been valuable. I am extremely excited about this guitar. So, enough chatter, here are the pics:

      Headstock:

      Whole Mother Fucking Thing!!!:

P.S. I am fat and have fat friggin' hands, he really did a great job making the higher frets accessible.

That guitar's going to need some warning labels. Good thing you went with the highly visible white, or eyes could be lost!

Can't wait to see the finished axe!

Thanks! I am really happy. This is the first batch of pics since I put the order in. Most exciting part is actually designing it then finally seeing it coming into fruition.

I would like to see more guitars (especially v's) with mirror sharkfins, think VMNT, but without the ghey dots. Any thoughts? Too late?

This is the first of many. Our endorsement entitles us to 2 guitars per year from the time the first one is ordered. Not just from like 2007-2008, but from actual order date. But yes, it is extremely exciting. When I got the pics today I was all screaming like a girl. My wife is thoroughly annoyed with me as I have had her go over every little adjustment I had made.

I actually like the inlays (sans dots) on the Mustain V. That Dean actually is pretty damn nice playing. I tried one of the US ones out a coupe of weeks ago.

Funny you should ask. Just got a new batch of pics tonight. Talked to Ron after they got here. He just got the inlays and frets installed this weekend. It will go to his paint guy on Monday which usually takes about 7-9 days, then back to Ron for final assembly then home to me. He said about 12-14 days and it should be here ... in the immortal words of Europe ...It's the final countdown!!! Here are a few more pics!

                          Looking mighty fine!

12-14 days, and the paint isn't even started? :O

I'd be really careful with it for a couple of weeks while the paint cures. It will be extremely easy to ding.
                          Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

Thanks for the tip. It will be under strict guard at all times. I have 2 young kids that love to get into my stuff so this will be cased and hidden whilst not in my hands.

There will be mass amounts of shred laid down on the West Coast.

Thanks for the kind words and advice all!

Actually, Freddy G (the guy who painted my KV1) told me that the best thing to do is leave the case open. You want air to get to it apparently, to help it cure.
