I have a couple of those yellow and black Hercules stands for funny shaped guitars, maybe I'll keep it on the stand in a closet the kids can't get in. Thanks for the info.

Just don't hang it by the neck. Any localized pressure can cause dents in the soft paint.
      Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

Hey, I wouldn't want you to scar that beauty up now would I?

Freddy told me that after about a week or two, it should have cured pretty well. I still don't hang mine yet though. I usually put it in the case, or have it sitting on the points (on the carpet) leaning against my amp. I'm not worried about it getting knocked over, because no one ever comes in my music/computer room except me.

What type of paint is he using on yours? I probably should have asked that before.

By the way, I love the black/white binding on the fretboard. I don't think I've ever seen it done that way before. It looks crisp as hell. I love black binding, but usually it's hard to see. The white kinda soles that problem doesn't it?

Me too. I swapped out the non-bound reverse headstock neck for a bound DK-2 neck and it looks so much better.

if he's using automotive urethanes, you're all good in the hood.

I think he said Krylon ...

Nah, I'm kidding. Not sure to be honest. Tell Freddy I say thanks as well.

I have never seen the 3 ply binding done on a neck either. It is what he uses on all his standard guitars I guess according to his site. It's actually black/white/black. The cool thing is like you said, black doesn't show as well which is why I am turned off to the RR24's, well that and there is no real access to the higher frets w/o switching hand positions. The white binding on a neck can kind of get lost when it meets the white body so this 3 ply will do nicely and won't look goofy next to the black binding on the headstock.

That makes 2 of us. Not to do shameless promotion because Mammoth endorsed my band but I know there was some people looking at doing customs recently. You guys should really check him out if you are looking for a custom. His prices are REALLY reasonable for what he offers. We've had great communication and I have been involved every step of the way. Actually I just made a final change tonight and decided to go with a satin finish on the neck ala Alexi. I don't know if I can put prices on here? If not, you can PM me.

We are already working on my next monster!!!

Took longer than expected. Ron's paint guy he uses when he's extra busy building was slackin' hard, so Ron took the guitar back and did the paint himself.
