Got another Centaura off ebay, this one is a 1990. She's straight out of the case and not been cleaned yet. But here we go.

I have a 1990/91 Hamer centaura too. It has a bare wood/walnut stain with gold hardware. (used to be sparkle red, but I redid the finish) Anyways, just a pleasure to own and play. Supreme playability and action, and frets that never seem to wear! Are these stainless or something? By the way, these centaura's are top notch guitars that go for pretty nice prices. I think I paid like $450 for mine . I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one to anyone.

Cool marble finish. The guitar reminds me of an Ibanez S series other than the headstock.

Nice Score. Congratulations.
I always have to think of Vernon Reid whenever Hamer Superstrats like the Centaura, the Californian or the Chapparal are brought up.
Vernon with one of his crazy Custom Hamer Californian models. I wonder why Hamer hasn't got a Vernon Reid signature model. After all he's always been a very faithful user of that brand.

got a point there Blazer, but vernon is the kind of guitar player that sounds good, and then can sound fairly painful out of nowhere. Could be a factor. Could not as well. I don't think many of the cats today have the sack to walk out with something like the one above. Not because they can't play it, but they're too cool for it, ya know. anything related to the era before Smells like teen B.O. is a no no unfortunately. Not helping the situation since 1965!
