  • Remember the Les Paul I was building?

I made some real progress with that one. I did do a couple of important things on the guitar today...

Namely the routing of the neck humbucker cavity.

And the one of the bridge humbucker.

    Here's the thing finished.

And I also had the opportunity to do some work on another project.

    All in a day's work.

Guess what, I didn't feel like watching TV this evening so I got out the rasp and the 80 grid Sandpaper and started working on the neck profile.

And as you can see I got a lot of that done.

And here's how it looks with the humbucker rings, bridge and stop bar and the knobs on place (although I'm planning to put on Amber colored Gibson speed knobs)

And finally here's one to anger the purists...

That bridge displeases me! Those knobs are just as bad!

        -cool work though. Good luck.

The knobs won't be on it, I said that before as for the Fender bridge, I took a picture of that just for the fun of it. It'll get the tune o matic and stop bar.

Thank God, I was thinking you might have left that bridge on there. It was starting to look really good until I saw that.

Here's how it looks with the pickups in.

They are two Duncan classic cover series 59 units. As a salute to Peter Green I put in the neck pickup reversed.

A closeup of the headstock and the Grover tuners I put on.

And here's the hole where the neutrix jack will be.

The guitar is almost done, I need to clean the fingerboard and put on a new set of strings but it works and sounds absolutely brutal. I'll record a little thing later with the guitar so you guys can hear just how it sounds.
