  • PRS SE standard

Was planning to shampoo the carpet at home today but some little voice said to do it later. So I went out and did my pawn shop round here in town.
Almost bought a pretty decent Jackson JS 30 but thougt no I'll wait and see whats at the next place.
The next place had some older squier strats I thought well my 86 squier is a pretty good guitar but that little voice said lets go.
The last place had a 2005 SE standard in satin black/ green camo.So I thought to myself the standard is all mahogony and made in Korea and its got a big ass neck and a wrap around tone pros bridge why not so thats what I'm playing now and its a damn nice well made guitar.
Who else has one and whats your opinion?
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

The only issues I've seen on ones is the hardware doesn't hold up the greatest. The ones I've played also had weak pickups. They're a jack of all trades, but a master of none.

Yeah the pickups aren't much.I have an old Duncan distortion set and a set of Jim Rolph pickups I might try.Being all mahogony an old set of Dimarzio super D's might be good in this guitar.I'll have to get an RS guitarworks pot kit tomorrow on the way to work.
I was thinking this guitar would look pretty cool with a crackle finish the camo isn't working for me but the guitar has potential.
