Elmers wood glue, only a drop or two.
You just need to hold it in place.
Anything stronger will damage the neck if you had to replace the nut in the future.
Elmers will release if you apply a little heat to it.
Titebond II. Isn't this question in the wrong forum? Your not a Noob ya know
Elmer's will work though.
Use a toothpick to apply it, as it doesn't take much.
I guess if it's a Gibson style nut placement you would want something a little stronger than plain old Elmers.
Titebond II is great stuff, but as stated, use it sparingly.
On Fender style slot nuts, if it is slipping, I put a drop of Elmers and that usually solves the problem.
