  • Just bought an Ibanez USAC wow!

I just bought this today after just getting aload of money in from selling another rare RG I had for awhile

It looks awesome. I'm going to love this I can tell. If the pickups aren't to my liking I'm going to put in either a Bareknuckle ceramic magnet Holy Diver (what I had in my last RG and one of my favourite pickups) with a Trilogy or a Nailbomb, possibly a Painkiller too.

Any one else have one of these USAC Ibanez's? post up some pics

Dang that looks awesome. I wish I had one. Here's a catalog scan that shows that graphic:

Yeah you'd never know from looking at their current offering. I'm sure some of those Prestige's are fine players and everything, but dang would it kill them to put some skulls or flames or something on there like they used to? :ROTF: I mean solid transparent colors and stripes can get a bit boring. As much as people are knocking Jackson these days, you gotta hand it to them for continuing to offer badass 80's metal graphics.

Its a shame too.I can only stand veneer flame and quilt tops for so long.

Cool stuff - DRL did some graphics for them back in those days, so maybe that's one of his...

That's right Ian. This particular graphic was done by Dan Lawrence as well as a few others. The other artist was Pamela something, I don't remember her last name.

                        Ooh nice!
Ibanez used to make some great guitars back then.
                        Here's one that I had.

The finish was very cool, kinda "Tart's Leggings" spandex stretched over the body and clearcoated.

That finish would look amazing on a soloist... My eyes are after a Jackson headstock

Well It finally arrived and I've played it. Some monkey must have set up the guitar because each string has a kink in it which isn't helping the bridge keep it in tune. So new strings today, clean the bridge and tighten the locking trem studs and all should be well hopefully. Looks so damn awesome and it plays quite nice, just need to lower the middle pickup as it's right when I pick. Nice sustain to it and a nice comfortable neck. Not as thin as the prestige wizard neck on my last RG but I think I prefer the neck on this one. I think some one has replaced the bridge pickup with a dimarzio PAF Pro too, but I might change all the pickups to Bareknuckles sometime after christmas.
