The last couple of bands I have been in use drop tunings, either standard a full step down or drop D. It sounds cool, but I hate setting up my favorite guitar for it and then want to play some tunes in standard in my spare time. The solution? A 7 string. I've had the Schecter BJ for about a year, and it has served me well... but I wanted a trem. It was a toss up between the Loomis and the Ibenhad RG1527. I went with the Ibenhad because I wanted to try a 25.5 7 and I'm glad I did. It kicks ass! I knew going in that the stock pickups were crap, so I was able to get a Dimarzio Blaze for the bridge and popped it in within an hour of getting the guitar. I have a Blaze neck pickup on order. Now for the crappy pictures... I was jamming through the Recto tonight so I thought I get a pic of the new Ibenhad and the Schecter together
Now I just need to learn some Korn songs...
