Huh? They just introduced this model. Literally yesterday. Hasn't even hit the streets yet. How could you be jammin' on one "every time" you go to your local shop? Not to mention that Carvin only sells direct to the consumer. So, unless you're jammin on a used trade-in, that ain't a Carvin.

He's probably thinking of an SC90.

        Ahh. You're probably right, Sinistas.

Either that or he can't tell the difference between a single- and a double-cut.

Well, Carvin does have its own retail stores here in southern California. There's one right across from Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.

Damn, those are quite nice. I'm in the mood for a les paul type!

                Carvin does build great guitars.

And considering Carvins overall quality...this must kick ANY LP's Ass
under $2200 Just look at the pics. If Gibson made one this nice,
it would cost $7K... Carvins give you huge value for the $'s spent imo

A Floyd is an available option for a modest upcharge - nice.

Saw that new Californian Single Cut on TV tonight, on the Next Great American Band show. The band Light Of Doom, who are all kids, have been playing Carvins... a Bolt+ or C66 and a Californian Carved Top. The one kid tonight had the Single Cut, and it looked really nice!

What happened to the page with all the prices for options for the different guitars?

I noticed that Carvin had revamped their page. I also noticed that on their last Cat the single cut wasnt included. It most be a really new model for them. I zlso think it looks great and bet from the old models I have played it will kick the LPs as.
                            Just one more guitar!

I have a CM130, their early 80s LP Jr. style guitar, and it plays so much better than my '77 Les Paul Standard it's not even funny. And my Les Paul plays very nice for a Gibson too, I guess the upper frets are where the real difference lies. The CM130 is all maple too, so with the brightness of maple and the cut of the M22 pickups, which are like hotter DiMarzio PAFs to my ears, the guitar has a cool, bright punchy sound of its own that I love.

When I clicked on the link above though, I got a warning from Windows that it wasn't really the Carvin site, and I should choose to cancel. When I did hit cancel, my computer locked up and I had to reboot.

Then I went to the real www.carvin.com and didn't see anything about the new singlecut, so I don't know WTF that was all about...
                              Ron is the MAN!!!!

It looks like an old Aria PE series - which is not a bad thing, 'cos they were great.
Gorgeous guitar, and with the current £/$ exchange rate it would be a bargain, if only we could easily get one over here.
