    I love 335's - after the V & Explorer, my favorite Gibson.
damn Jimmy, I never thought about the gay part...I guess that explains me wanting to do metalized cover of YMCA by the Village People

Huh, old? That style guitar is what I lusted for when I started playing at age 11. Finally my Dad caved in on the idea of an electric guitar, but a Gibson ES-335 was too much money. I ended up with a budget look a like, a Gretsch Rally complete with treble booster Now back then the ES style was cool to me. In 1966 the Monkee's, Paul Revere and the Raiders, George Harrison, CCR and a bunch more had that ES style!

I think you might be getting younger

335s are definitely for varied ages and styles.

If you like the 335 style but want a thinner neck, check out the Epiphone Sheraton

The ones I checked out have definitely thinner and more comfortable necks than 335 or the other Epiphone copies. And they seem very good quality even though they are made in China.

Actually I think the "Block" 335s have thinner necks than the "Dot" 335s but I've never tried one.

I was actually eyeing off that same 335 last week. I've been watching Alvin Lee at woodstock alot lately and listening to Rush. Ended up getting an edwards vintage white LP custom instead.

It has the same finish as my Edwards LP custom. If it plays like Edwards LPs I bet it has plenty of quality and tone. The price seems a bit on the high side though.

I recently picked up this Hamer 335.
very well made, nice flame, ebony board, warm sounds, I'm loving it.

the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

A surprising number of records were made secretly using 335's, where the guitarists would play Les Pauls or such on stage. I believe a lot of Clapton's work in Cream was done on 335's. They just sound so damn good. Paul Gilbert recorded his most recent album using an Ibanez semi-hollow.

I have a cheapo Hamer Echo-Tone much like the one above. It's a Korean job and needs some fretwork. I've been mulling over whether to get one of those Edwards 355 repros. From everything I've heard, the Edwards guitars are much better than any of the Korean/Chinese stuff from Epiphone, Hamer, Ibanez, etc.

how do you like you Edwards LPC?

I was really looking for a LPC 3 pickup black beauty. I doubt I'll buy anything until I find out how much I owe the man for taxes this year

Seriously though, I've been thinking about one of these:

Get the guaranteed best price on Semi-Hollow and Hollow Body Electric Guitars like the Gibson ES-339 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar with '59 Rounded Profile Neck at Musician's Friend. Get a low price...
