Well, a full strat sized Dinky is a Strat, actually.
And I think they do that. Since the Charvels have strat bodies, there's no reason for them to not to do that.I wish my hair-color was EDS :/

I also used to own an ESP strat, a Jake E. Lee signature. I loved the thing for what it was, but it was not for me. It WAS a strat while the M-II was not. I'd prefer the M-II over it
Btw I'm also not sure if the Jake E. Lee strat is full sized. It was a 24.75" scale so the body can also be a bit smaller (probably not 7/8 though) which was the case with my Fusion Pro, which was a tad smaller than 7/8 strat body
I think you should look for an 80s Jackson Strat. They sometimes go for dirt cheap on ebay. Not much interest on them. The only thing is they usually don't have the sharkies and binding but since you're looking for an M-II I'm guessing that would be no problem with you, so good luck
