      Don't do that, but I'm not sure what the intention was making them smaller anyway. Smaller bodies are much harder to play.

        It's easier to provide better upper fret access, with smaller bodies.
        I wish my hair-color was EDS :/

          Here is what I figure. The shred guitars typically have smaller bodies, 24 frets.
          Your typical strat models have bigger bodies (which on average will be a heavier body given the same wood) and typically 22 frets.

          Now I like 24 frets. And I like the idea of a body that has more mass.

          Sooooooo........I now get archtop shredders. Smaller "footprint" but more mass and 24 frets.
