I didn't... they are too hard to make, and inexpensive enough to buy.
I would consider making the neck, and attaching a premade fingerboard, though. Especially on a set neck, or of course a neck through.Comment

Looks great, Shawn, but...
Homebuilt customs are a whole different world.
Mine was made from some oak planking, and the
neck angle, pup pockets, bridge design, body shape was
all done by me, with an assortment of power tools, machine
tools, and chisels, sandpaper, and sweat. And keeping in
mind, it's really just a playable prototype, with better asthetics
to come in the future.Comment
