The toggle switch location gives it away. The toggle switch on the Focus 6000 is on the other side of the knobs, that and the jack is how you can tell. ESP made that body. The neck is 99% sure a Focus. ESP made Focus guitars, and occasionally you will see an a Focus neck that has a volute, and usually its identical to an American series neck. The volute is ESP hallmark. its a strong possiblity these mystery necks are American series necks, or ESP replacement necks put on Focus bodies by ESP. You could cut down and early ESP neck to a Kramer shape....I could easily see where a neck was needed one day and thats how it can happen. I have even seen that same neck original on a Focus 1000, and it even had pearl inlay. Regardless the Focus necks are good. George Lynch's bones guitar was a Focus 1000 neck; refretted of course! Even the 3 piece necks are good. There is nothing at all wrong with a 3 piece contructions. Yes its a way to maximize wood use, which is a good thing, but they are very stable. I have seen Kramers in pawnshops that look like they have laid out in the Sahara that have perfectly straight 3 pc necks. Of course quartersawn is the best, and the most pleasing to look at, I'll take a 3 pc over a flat sawn. If you like it who cares right?
Thanks for that info. Seems like you're into Kramers. Ever seen another crackle body like this?

I love the 3 piece necks. They are quite stable. I'm also quite fond of the shape. Very comfortable...

I think this is just a hodge podge piece possibly put together by Schaller at the end of the Kramer run...

As for the toggle switch, I HATE where it's located. My pinky finger is always hitting it...
    I'm angry because you're stupid

:ROTF: that's why I wasnt a big fan of when I had a Pacer Custom, the switches are in a wierd spot.

that Crackle is DEFINATELY an oddball to say the least

but all the control layout is unique to Kramer as far as I know

That is no crap at all. I've been playing it alot lately and the spot of the switch screws up any chance of doing any volume swells. It's frustrating...

The finish is a bit odd too. I have yet to find another Kramer from that era with this finish. It's strange how they did it. Sometimes the "veins" are nice and thick but on other spots they are very small and thin. Almost non-existant around edges like the tips of the cutaway and along the neck joing area. Those spots almost go completely a milky black color. It's clear they didn't really know what they were doing when they finished this body. Nice try though. Some of the colors are odd. I swear there is a brownish/tan area to it. Brown is not a very 80's color. But it's cool. I dig it...
