  • Who has owned a Zakk Wylde Epi LP?

I pulled the trigger on one. Buzz saw finish(orange and black). After trying a few Les Pauls last week(and I tried an EJ Fender Strat which one of those is coming too hehe) I really liked the sound and feel. Just to be sure, I tried a ZW Epi. That one was a bullseye model. Felt pretty nice.

Thought I'd ask for some feedback.

I'm going in to the studio before too long and should have an array of sounds seeing I'll have a Fender EJ Strat, The LP and my Charvel/Jackson.

Hope all of you had a nice new years day.

Not a bad guitar. I put in the ole 81 and 85 combo and it sounds fantastic.

      Did it cost you 357?

Oh shit. Theres a harsh numeric sequence that evokes some BAD discussion.

I've heard nothing but good things about them thus far. Wether free with a purchase of a certain item, or off the shelf.

I'm sorry. Happy New Year? But, how could I resist? They must be out there somewhere.

            .357? LOL

I am more of a 9mm fan honestly!

it was a decent number and am hoping for it to be pretty good. if it's not, i can always drop it off to my tech who'll give it some tlc.

yep, i've read the emg's that it comes with are hit or miss. some like them, some don't. the 81+85 plan is a back up in case i don't like what is in there.

Thanks!!! pics will come to this thread when it arrives.

As far as Epi's go, they are pretty nice. I would buy an Epi long before I would buy a Gibson one of those...

And that black and orange buzzsaw graffic kicks major ass...

              I think you'll like it...
              I'm angry because you're stupid

Several people said that...which is surprising. Gibby's run anywhere from $1800 on up. You'd expect the quality to be tops at that cost. Guess not in some cases!

I hope my Charvel+Jackson get along ok with these new one's hehe.

I tried one of the Epi Bullseyes a few months ago. Real nice guitar for the money. I sure wish imports were of such high quality & value back when I was first learning guitar in the early 80s.

They are pretty nice. I nearly bought one back a year ago. The birdseye maple necks look FANTASTIC, and they have a great satin finish that feels like it was gone over with 0000 steel wool. The only trouble spots are while good, the pickups are kind of neutral in tone and a bit bland, and the gold hardware is cheap. Plus Chinese (or is it Korean) construction gets me nervous.

I had one. It was fine. It was nowhere near as nice as either of the USA Gibson's but those are about 4x the cost.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

As much as I dispise Douche Wylde, I still want one of the bullseyes. Not really looking to spend much over $400 for it though, so Ill just hold off until a good deal pops up one day.

Those guitars are really hit and miss. I've seen some that were pretty nice and others that had really horrible fretwork and played like the worse Chinese pile of crap imaginable. The finish is fairly nice. The pickups are utter crap.
