Accessorize my new Strat! Nothing but the best :)

Tomorrow I have some money to spend and I need my Strat to become THE strat. I'm about as happy with the sound as I could be so far so it'd mostly be cosmetic. Here's the list so far:


Case
3 way switch + mini toggle switch
New saddles or at least new saddle screws (I need to raise the action)
Stand
Strap
Straplocks


What else? Little things, big things... just things that could improve (thicker, more sustain) the tone, or cosmetic/safety things... I want the best for her Suggest away!

A bigblock trem is the first thing I would buy as an upgrade.

There already is The block on those highway is huge, almost limits the trem movement... bigass thing.

Already got a faster stripe, it's the walnut skunk stripe on the neck


Mhmm she's transparent blue it's hard to find her a good pickguard, I think I'll keep it white for now. As for the nut she'll indeed be getting a brand new bone nut as soon as I get back to Edinburgh and I can do it (no techs touch my nuts. ZING!)

You can get some really cool abalone inlaid knobs on eBay, or wood ones.

I refuse to come out and recommend that anybody buys wood knobs, though.

Maybe a parchment pickguard with a new knobs and trem tip. If you feel that's a little too ordinary, maybe try a clear plastic guard for a change of pace.

What about a Hipshot Tremsetter? Fender used to put those on some of their upper-end instruments like the Strat Plus.

And maybe a fancy strap to go along with her. Perhaps something by Levy Leathers or Jodi Head.

That should add a little extra bling to your thing.
