I'm going to put very old and very cool brass straplocks on it. The pickguard that came with the guitar has Stackpole pots, 2 out of 3, that date to 1971. Yeah, I think it would look better with a maple neck.

It needs to be tweaked a bit, but maple definitely looks better. It's also a slimmer and more comfortable neck.

The two Fenders look great! I was talking about the red guitar as firewood.

Are those 'merican? They look great regardless. The only thing that most of the MIM fenders have that I have to get used to is the skinny fretwire, but I am not good enough a player to claim fretwire is holding me back.
