No offense taken, or even close!
I'm just jealous of these pros who get to play with bunches of toys for free.
hehehe
My impressions on this one (after all of 2 days or so...) is I must have got a good one.
I pretty much have to hang on...
Very toneful, and singing, and... how do I say this... "Wow... did I just do that?" kinda stuff.
Me likey.
hehe
Cheers!

Congrats Spikey, the Petrucci's are nice guitars. I can't comment on how they feel compared to other Ibanez's because I only own two, a P1 and a USA Custom in Shattered glass finish. I prefer the Jackson neck profile so my Ibanez's don't really get much play. I will say that the Shattered Glass USA Custom has the lowest action of any of my guitars. Despite this, its still not my best playing guitar, its hard to explain that the action is so low maybe too low! My friend who is a tech and who did the setup on it wants it though, he loves the way it plays You should have fun with that P2 and I think it gets pretty heavy sounding with those Dimarzios as well as having a great clean tone. Just depends on amp settings and what not.Rudy

roody,
I can relate.
I have a Korean built westone that I scored a while ago that I put a little time and love into, and some pickups... (Charvel Model 2 in the bridge, Jackson single, Kent Armstrong rail in the bridge), and tweaked the neck/leveled the frets... and it was too low.
Couldn't/Wouldn't buzz... but just too low to get a handle on the strings.
So...
I increased the neck relief a tad (perhaps 1/8 turn looser?) and it came back to life.
Just yesterday I was playing it and was blown away with what that little change did to the playability and TONE of the guitar.
Thanks for the kind words ALL.
