My Epi LP ZW came in, lightly damaged. WWYD?

Well, it has returned(Fixed) fully set-up and it rips!! frets we're leveled, crowned and polished. it received a new set of ghs 9's, necessary truss rod adjustment(it was nearly perfect) and the action is very nice. The fretboard is down to stay! and should remain that way. I got it back a few hours ago and really like playing it. Haven't used the amp very much as it rings nicely without one.

i am strongly contemplating a second les paul. An alpine white with gold studio u.s.a. model. I like how this one plays and feels(not too heavy). I'm just hoping I like the painted neck compared to this one which reminds me of my charvel/jackson. Very quick.

We shall see! I can get a new one for a great price so I'm going to stop in and play it a while to make sure it clicks like the Epi did.

Just bringing you up to speed! Some things that begin bad, can end well! You REALLY have to look to see it's been repaired. Always a +!

it plays right on par with my san dimas charvel/jacksons. sounds crazy..or maybe i needed something different than a strat. it is a wonderful playing guitar! not sure if i want to change the pups yet. i heard one today with the true 81 and 85 emg's and it killed. never been a big emg fan. we'll see!

You should try a SD Custom/59 combo in that. Trust me.

Ouch! San Dimas Charvels and Jacksons being on the same level as a Korean Epiphone? Since you own both, I'll take your word for it...

:-) Bengal, it could just be me. That is all I've owned my whole life we're strats made by Charvel or Jackson. It's like eating the same food each day, perhaps I needed a little change. Don't get me wrong, I still love them(but am growing more and more dis-pleased with that 6105 fret wire in my red one, that might have to come out soon) just the Epi has taken over for now. LOL, at least I like it. I owned an Eric Johnson Fender(hated from the first three notes) and literally sold it in less than a week after owning it. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

definitely! i've been playing it the past few hours on and off. every note just seems to fall in to place. i don't feel fatigued playing it and enjoy picking it up after some scales, jazz chords etc. like a kid with a new toy!

i'm going to check out an alpine white LP Studio tomorrow with gold hardware and an ebony board. I think I have a little G.A.S. bug!!! Oh, I'll add some photos of it repaired. It is seriously stable! 2.5 step bends don't knock any strings out of tune. Always a +. My camera isn't here right now.

I have always liked the looks of those, especially with gold hardware.

I clearly don't like painted necks. Funny though, I've owned two jackson soloists(both u.s.a. eerie dess) and the finish never bothered me. Every Les Paul I tried(and I tried about 11 or 12) none of them said 'mama, i'm home' kind of bleh! Even funnier, my little $500 epiphone felt like it blew most of those away. And they we're more than triple the cost. Another thing I've learned I do not like is taller fret wire. My red charvel has 6105's and I hate them! They're coming out very soon for a set of 6150's. Lower and wider.

Anyway, it was cool, I got to try a bunch of different LP's...and met a very nice guitar salesman. He always said, if it doesn't say "mama, I'm home" Do NOT buy it! You have to like it the minute you try it. I've always felt that way too!
