Well, it has returned(Fixed) fully set-up and it rips!! frets we're leveled, crowned and polished. it received a new set of ghs 9's, necessary truss rod adjustment(it was nearly perfect) and the action is very nice. The fretboard is down to stay! and should remain that way. I got it back a few hours ago and really like playing it. Haven't used the amp very much as it rings nicely without one.
i am strongly contemplating a second les paul. An alpine white with gold studio u.s.a. model. I like how this one plays and feels(not too heavy). I'm just hoping I like the painted neck compared to this one which reminds me of my charvel/jackson. Very quick.
We shall see! I can get a new one for a great price so I'm going to stop in and play it a while to make sure it clicks like the Epi did.
Just bringing you up to speed! Some things that begin bad, can end well! You REALLY have to look to see it's been repaired. Always a +!
